The Calls feature in OurFamilyWizard lets you place secure audio and video calls right in the app so you and your co-parent (or child) can talk without sharing your personal phone number. Calls you place through the app are automatically logged in your account, helping keep important communication documented and easy to reference later.
In this article, you’ll learn how to start a call from your mobile app, what requirements need to be met before calling (like consent and account access), and where your call history is stored.
Before You Begin
Make sure the following requirements are met:

Your account includes access to the Calls feature. Some legacy plans do not include the Calls feature. You must have the Essentials package, or higher, to make outgoing calls. All of OurFamilyWizard's current plans include inbound calls.

You and your coparent have consented to audio and/or video calls.

The app has permission to use your phone’s microphone and camera.
You can establish access within the mobile app by clicking "Allow Access" or by navigating to your device's permissions under Settings.
How to Make a Call in the Mobile App
Open the OurFamilyWizard App and log in.
Click Calls in the bottom navigation bar.
Under Connections review or establish your consent settings and review your coparent's consent settings.
Locate the Phone Icon, Audio Call, to place an audio-only call. Tap it to start the call.
Locate the Phone Icon, Video call, to place an audio & video call. Tap it to start the call.
Optional: Confirm Recording Consent
The app may ask you to confirm consent to be recorded before placing the call. Confirm or Deny consent to record the call. Once confirmed, the call will begin automatically. Please note: Only outgoing calls made with the MAX package can be recorded.End the Call
The call will be placed according to your preferences. When you are finished, tap the red phone button to end the call.
Call History and Records
All Calls made through the OurFamilyWizard app are automatically logged in your account under the Activity Log.
Call details such as date, time, and duration will be visible in your records.
Call statuses will also be visible in your records.
Recordings may be available if your account subscription includes Recorded Calls.

Phone icon not clickable?
Make sure both parents have calling enabled on their accounts. Make sure you have granted permission for the OurFamilyWizard app to access your device's microphone and camera.Call won’t connect?
