How to use Tone Analysis
Tone Analysis helps you identify language in your message that may come across as emotionally charged, confrontational, or difficult to receive. Before you send a message, Tone Analysis reviews your draft and highlights opportunities to communicate in a more neutral, child-focused manner. Tone Analysis scans your message, highlighting passages you might want to review before sending. This helps you take a beat, ponder how you want to come across, and then revisit the message. (It’s up to you whether you change it or not.)
- Open Messages in your OurFamilyWizard account on the mobile app or website.
- Start a new message or reply to an existing conversation.
- Type your message.

Tone Analysis will automatically review your message, highlighting sentences and phrases to review in red. Click the Tone Analysis button to review flagged sentences and phrases in more detail.
- Review the feedback provided under the Tone Analysis box on the right side of your screen.
- If desired, revise your message based on the analysis. Type within the message field on the left side of the screen to edit your original Draft.
- Repeat the analysis if you make additional changes.
- When you’re satisfied with your message, select Send.
Optionally, you can use Writing Assistant to suggest improvements to tone, grammar, and clarity and to review suggested rewrites using different tones: considerate, casual, neutral, direct, or professional tone. Learn more here: How do I use Writing Assistant?

Does Tone Analysis automatically change my message?
No. Tone Analysis provides feedback only. You decide whether to edit your message before sending it.
Can I send my message without making changes?
Yes. You can send your message at any time, regardless of the feedback provided by Tone Analysis.
Can my co-parent see the Tone Analysis results?
No. Tone Analysis feedback is only visible to you while you are composing your message. Your co-parent only sees the final message that you choose to send. There are no reports that track or report a co-parent's use of Tone Analysis or Writing Assistant.
