How do I integrate OurFamilyWizard to Clio?

The Clio and OurFamilyWizard integration lets family law professionals send OurFamilyWizard reports directly into their Clio workspace—no more downloading from one system and re-uploading into another.

With the Clio + OurFamilyWizard integration, professionals can:

  • Connect their Clio and OurFamilyWizard Professional accounts
  • Send Messages, Calls, Journal, and Expense reports to an existing Clio contact, matter, or folder
  • Include supporting files (attachments, call recordings and transcripts, or receipts). The report and its eligible files arrive in Clio together in one ZIP file.
  • Optionally download the same report locally

Before you begin, make sure you are connected to your client's account. Learn more: How do I link to an existing client account?

Sending OurFamilyWizard Reports to Clio

After your accounts are connected, you can send Messages, Calls, Journal, and Expense reports to Clio. Start from Report Center or from the report button in Client View Mode.

  1. Log into your Professional Account: www.ourfamilywizard.com
  2. Open the report:

    • From Report Center: click Report Center in the main menu, choose your client from Generating reports for, then choose Messages, Calls, Journal, or Expenses. Learn more: How do I use Report Center?
    • From Client View Mode: click My Cases, enter your client's account in Client View Mode, then open Messages, Calls, Journal, or Expenses and click the Report button at the top of the page.

  3. Set your report options (dates, sort order, and so on) as you normally would. These options decide what's in the report.
  4. To include supporting files, select the file options for that report: attachments (Messages and Journal), recordings or transcripts (Calls, when they're part of your client's plan), or receipts (Expenses). The report and eligible files are sent to Clio together as one ZIP file.
  5. Under Case Management Integrations, use Contacts to search for and select the client's existing Clio contact. A contact is required. Once you choose a contact for a client, it's saved for next time.
  6. Optionally, use Destination (Optional) to file the report in a specific place within Clio. Click Choose a destination in Clio…, open a matter, open a folder if you'd like, and then click Choose folder. Will save to: shows where the report will go. If you don't choose a destination, the report is saved to the contact's Documents in Clio.
  7. Optionally, change the Filename.
  8. Click Send to Clio (shown as Send Report to Clio on some reports).

What happens next:

  • OurFamilyWizard creates the report using the options you picked.
  • You'll see a message that your report is on its way to Clio. It arrives in Clio under the contact, matter, or folder you chose.
  • If you included supporting files, the report is prepared first and sent as one ZIP file. We'll notify you when it's done.
  • You can still download the report locally if you wish.
