ToneMeter AI helps you focus on the practical problem instead of difficult emotions. ToneMeter is an AI-driven tool designed to analyze sentiment in real-time and provide generative suggestions for improving communication.
ToneMeter AI has two key features:
- Tone analysis: While you draft a message, ToneMeter AI scans for negative language. If it finds any, it highlights that passage. This helps you take a beat, ponder how you want to come across, and then revisit the message. (It’s up to you whether you change it or not.)
- Suggestions: It can be hard to find the right words, especially when you’re frustrated. So ToneMeter AI offers suggestions for rewriting your drafts. These suggestions save you time and energy by making your message clearer, more concise, and more straightforward—without losing any of the crucial meaning or context.
Follow steps in this article to use and edit ToneMeter AI suggestions.
- Begin by creating a message. Tap the blue "Create Message" button.
- Enter the content of your message. Note, as you enter your Message tone analysis will scan for negative language. The tone will be flagged near the bottom of your message.
- To use ToneMeter AI and view Suggestions for rewriting your drafts, tap the "Suggestion" button.
- ToneMeter AI will automatically generate a Suggestion.
- Tap "Regenerate" to view another Suggestion.
- Tap "View Original Draft" to flip the Suggestion card to your original draft and compare drafts.
- Tap the back button "New Message" to leave the Suggestions screen and go back to your original message draft.
- Tap "Apply to Draft" to update your Message and make necessary edits.
Please note:
- ToneMeterAI will generate a limited number of Suggestions based on your Message text. You can regenerate a number of different Suggestions, however the option to regenerate will disappear when we've run out of new Suggestions.
- After applying a Suggestion, you will not be able to undo the Suggestion you applied.
